I wanted to let you all know I made it. This is the end of our first week together in Montana. It has been so, so good. We have dived into some of our deep hurts and pains. Just all the vulnerability has made us love each other more and has bonded us so well together! We have had different encouraging and convicting zoom calls with our leaders and other Cru staff through our ministry development. We have also had the challenge of shopping for meals on a budget, worshiped together, done a prayer walk on the University of Montana’s campus, learned and experienced the free bus system through a scavenger hunt, and gone on lots of walks and a hike. It has been a draining week but so good! I’m glad you all can be a part of that. We will have the opportunity in the future to teach Congolese refugees some high school subjects, such as math and science, interact more with the students on campus, and get to know and bond well with high school students. I know for a fact that the schedule is about to get a little more crazy as time goes on. One thing that I have learned from being in Montana is that the weather is all over the place. It could be 80 degrees one day and 45 degrees the next day. The nights and mornings are cold here. Missoula is a BEAUTIFUL place! We are surrounded by majestic mountains! It has truly been a wonderful week getting to know my team and seeing so much selfless love. I’m so thankful to God that we are FINALLY here. I can’t wait to see what he continues to do. We have been blessed by Him so much! You all are part of that blessing! I could never express enough my deepest gratefulness and love to you all for making this possible.
Could you all pray that God would keep pursuing me and wouldn’t give up, that we would see Him move in our team and the lives of others we talk to, that my focus would be on Him, and that I would live to please Him only.
Thank you all so much!!! I will continue to keep you all updated as time goes on.
