Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well! I just wanted to update you one last time since this will be my final blog post. May 7th is the departure date.
Things have definitely been tailoring down here. Students have finals coming up, and we just had a debrief on these last nine months.
The main event for April was Cru’s vision dinner. They just invite supporters and students to listen to all the ways Cru has reached students for Christ and invite them to give. All of us gappers helped out on setting up for dinner and then serving the food to everyone that came.
It‘s been a pretty chill month at times and rough at other times. During this time, I led girls time one time in my Bible study, we’ve done a bit of ministry on MSU and OTC, gone to our weekly meetings with the staff, had fun team nights together, celebrated one of our teammates off who needed to leave a bit early, and interacted with some college students.
Our gap team director came one last time to do a debrief with us about the past nine months. We talked about things that God had truly blessed us with during this time, read and prayed a blessing over each other, did worship together, talked about the good/sad/challenging things about going home, leaving, relationships, telling our story, and shared our thoughts and emotions. Couple last fun things we did as a team included ax throwing and going out to dinner.
Our team plus the staff team have celebrated, prayed, and worshiped God for the things He has done this semester. There has been encouraging words shared with one another and debrief stuff that has happened with their staff team.
This final week will be filled with packing and hanging out one last time with each other before the goodbyes.
I want to take a moment on here to thank you for praying over and for this gap year both in its entirety and for me personally. It means a lot! Thanks for sticking with me and supporting me! I appreciate you all.
A verse I want to leave you with is;
Isaiah 40:31
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great it your faithfulness.”
